When potential buyers see that the publisher made some effort to design an attention grabbing cover, it creates an impression that the product is of high quality and  adds value to the book. Covers are availble in .pdf, png, tiff, and all other web and printer friendly file formats. While it is true that a book is judged by its cover, it may also be said that a book, or any document for that matter, will be actually read based on its content.  You have spent a lot of time and hard work...or at least money if ghost written, to write your piece.  Don’t undermine all of that by throwing it together in a word processor.  Make sure the design is worthy of the text.  All ebooks available in .pdf, ipub and mobi formats. Advertising and getting the word out is everything.  Selling your book, ebook, etc. from a web page, or “brick & mortar” outlet is one thing but you need to create a buzz!  Why spend huge amounts of money on an advertising budget when you can go “viral”?  Use You Tube to spread the word.
